Elder Donald O誰eil Tyler, II was born to Donald O誰eil Tyler, Sr and Marcia A. Tyler on March 23, 1976.
Elder Donald O誰eil Tyler, II was a devoted father, husband and son to his family. His family meant the world to him, and he tried to be at every activity they were involved in.
Growing up in church he showed a passion for the youth. Elder Tyler dedicated time to developing more activities and events for them, bringing them to a genuine love for Christ. In following his father痴 vision he birthed the H.E.A.T. (Highly Energized Anointed Teens) Ministry.
Elder Tyler enjoyed making others laugh and smile. He had such a sweet spirit that people were drawn to him. An ideal day for Donald was snowed in, good movies, southern food, his momma痴 nasty pie, sweet tea and his wife.
Elder Tyler graduated from Dutch Fork High School in Columbia South Carolina and he went on to attend The University of South Carolina majoring in Engineering. He moved to Tulsa to help his father in the ministry. Elder Tyler was a Board Member of the Grace Foundation which help many at risk youth in Tulsa. He received his ministerial credentials from Aenon Bible College and later was elevated to Elder. He recently became the Youth Pastor of Greater Grace Temple. While in Tulsa he graduated with an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting. He was in the field of Drafting for 9 years.
Donald O誰eil Tyler, II moved from the present to the eternal on December 4, 2007. He will be missed by his wife Nikki Tyler; daughters, Chelsea, Cherise and Cherell; his parents, Donald O誰eil Tyler, Sr and Marcia A. Tyler, Linda Butler and Jesse Simpson; grandparents, Suffragan Bishop Joe Swanson and Evangelist Clarissa Swanson, Suffragan Bishop Sherman P. Tyler, Sr and Dr. Alice Tyler; his brothers Aaron Tyler, Neil Butler and Herbert Jones; his sisters, Bernice Jones and Christian Tyler; Aunts, Christie B. Tyler and Sharon Mosley and Uncle Sherman Tyler, II; three nieces, Nakeya, Donice and Marissa; and a host of cousins family and friends.
Meet the First Family
First Lady Marcia A. Tyler
First Lady Marica Tyler is the wife of Suffragan Bishop Donald O'Neil Tyler of over thirty-four years. She serves in the ministry with her husband, Dr. Tyler. First Lady Marcia Tyler moved to Tulsa , Oklahoma in October of 1998 with her husband where he is now the pastor of Greater Grace Temple.
She assists her husband in the ministry helping to promote the spirit of love. In Addition to this she is mother of two sons and daughters, Donald, II and Nikki; Aaron and Christian. She is the proud grandmother to Chelsea, Cherise and Cherell.
First Lady Marcia Tyler was the of the CO-founder Apostolic Church of God in Columbia, South Carolina where her husband Dr. Donald O. Tyler, Sr. was the Pastor. She assisted him in the day to day running of the church while her husband continued to work for united Parcel service as District Industrial Engineering Manager.
First Lady Marcia Tyler has served in several capacities in the local church and the council:
- Oklahoma State Council MDTW&E Auxiliary Treasurer
- Director of Baptism & Altar Workers Ministry
- Ministers, Deacons, Trustees Wives & Evangelist President
- W.O.R.D. Coordinator
She is the coordinator of the Women of Royal Destiny Weekend (W.O.R.D.) that has grown to be one of the biggest weekends of the year for Greater Grace. Its theme is to minister to the family whereby spiritual changes and growth come about. Her efforts and innovative methods have been beneficial in giving women help through health awareness and empower them to mature in God.
Each year First Lady Tyler brings vital health issue to the forefront through the Health Awareness Workshops and Blood Drives in collaboration with the American Red Cross.
Aaron A. Tyler
Aaron A. Tyler earnestly contends that "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth". (Psalm 34:1)
He is the anointed and appointed Minister of Music at Greater Grace Temple and works along side his father at the Temple.
Aaron Tyler is a student at Oral Roberts University where he will receive a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Brother Aaron Tyler is also the lead musician for two local Gospel groups; One Generation of Praise(1GOP) and Souls 'A' Fire.
Aaron is a very outgoing individual with a compassionate spirit for music and has a heart for praise and worship. God has truly blessed his life and ministry. Aaron Tyler is sincerely faithful to the Lord and through the Lord's favor he recently exchanged nuptials with Christian Parker (shown in the photo). Aaron Tyler is a committed husband to his newly wedded wife Christian.
